Can we make the expected type for Tropical Cyclone's "Affected areas" property be something like "Cyclone-affected area" instead of "Location"?  That way when you looked at eg. Cairns, you could see which cyclones had hit it.  (This information exists as a section on Cairns' Wikipedia page, FWIW.)

No, these should be merged -- this is the MusicBrainz-created topic for the person Wilbur Harden; it's flagged for merge with the Wikipedia-created topic for the person as well.  The albums on this page feature a quintet but all seem to be credited to Harden.

Hi,

I'm working on entering quotations in the House MD fan base, and some of the most brilliant lines from the show are part of dialogues involving two or more people. What's the best way of entering these as quotations?

crism

Just my opinion: I would use a short bit as the display name. Provide the full dialogue in the article, with character attributions. Attribute the quotation to the author, and then just link all the relevant characters in the spoken-by property.

On 5 October 2008 the Dethick family held a reunion at the Florence Nightingale Memorial Hall in Holloway, near to Dethick.

Inspired by Enzo Gilini and organised by Arthur Greaves (whose mother was Mabel Dethick)  his wife Sheila and Arthur's second cousin Janet Kinrade Dethick, daughter of singer John Dethick, it brought together the descendants of the Dethicks of Atlow and a representative of the Dethicks of Ashbourne.

The Dethicks of Atlow were descended from Thomas Dethick of Hognaston -  whose parentage is uncertain - and his wife Melicent Hously, who lived in the same village but whose family originated from Hope, Derbyshire.  Thomas and Melicent were married in Carsington Parish Church in  February 1742.  Their grandson John married Dorothy Buckley from Marston Montgomery in 1797 and it was from two of their sons - John (1802) and George (1804)  -  that all those present except Jane Spark, wife of Ian Fielder (see below) were descended.

John (1802) and his wife Elizabeth Hardy who he married in 1829 in Atlow had three children - Lucy, Thomas (1833) and George (1835).  Thomas' son Herbert and his wife Frances Gaskin were respresented as were George and his wife Eliza Holmes from Ellastone, Staffordshire.  Of Thomas and Frances' twelve children descendants of Frederick Herbert, Walter and Edward were present.  Of George and Eliza's six children respresentatives of Sarah, Frank, Walter and Joseph were present.

George (1804) married Sarah Cooper and of their five survivng sons descendants of George and Emma Moorcroft and Henry and Mary Ann Petts were present.  This branch established itself at Sturston Mill near Ashbourne in the middle of the 19th Century.

Jane Spark is descended from Ralph Deathwick of Ashbourne who married Hannah Mycock of Rocester.  Their eldest son William married Sarah Walker in Trentham Staffordshire in 1808 and their son William became a partner in Cooper and Dethick of Viaduct Works,Longton in the 1880s.  Jane is descended from William's sister Elizabeth.

Other Dethick descendants were not able to be present.  These included those Dethicks from the Hognaston-Worksop-Manchester Branch - some of whom are in Australia, and from the Hognaston -London branch.  Descendants of three of George and Eliza's children who live  in Australia were also absent.

To commemorate the occasion a celebration goblet engraved with the Dethick Coat of Arms was on sale at the event.  The book A History of the Dethick Familhy of Dethick 1200 -1918 by Janet Kinrade Dethick, published by Lulu.com.and available from Amazon  had already been published in the spring.

Building Muscle: “The Truth About Building Muscle

billspaced

When the topic of building muscle comes up, many "gurus" come to the forefront and answer with a whole bunch of esoteric junk that doesn't really make sense.

As in all things in life, K-I-S-S -- Keep It Super Simple.

Building muscle really requires only 3 things: A reason to grow, the nutrients to supply the growth, and the recovery time to grow bigger.

First things first. If you're trying to gain muscle, and you aren't, look in the mirror and pick up a tape measure (the sewing kind). If you're getting more defined and/or your waist is getting smaller OR you're not getting bigger muscles, then you're simply not eating enough.

You can't make anything out of thin air, and this includes muscle! You need a supply of macro nutrients (protein specifically) in excess of your maintenance needs. That means you have to eat more. Plain and simple.

Okay, the first thing a muscle needs to grow is a reason. If you continue to do workouts that don't challenge your muscles, then you'll never grow. Ever.

Therefore, you need to work out harder and harder. Increase the intensity. You can do this 3 ways: Add weight, add reps and/or sets (volume), or decrease rest between sets. Each workout, do more than the last in terms of one, two, or all three of these instensity-busters.

Secondly, as alluded to briefly before, muscles that have been properly stimulated to get bigger have to be given the building blocks to grow. This means amino acids, the building blocks of all proteins, and your muscles are primarily made of protein.

Eat at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. Additionally, begin with a diet composed of 50 percent complex carbohydrate, 30 percent protein from "flesh sources" like beef, eggs, dairy, fish, and chicken, and 20 percent fat.

NOTE: Protein and carbs have 4 calories per gram, while fat has 9 calories per gram. The 50-30-20 ratio is in terms of calories.

Finally, muscles need time to recover. Rome wasn't built in a day. Just think if it was. It would fall apart in no time. Same with your body. Building muscle that lasts requires time. Professional bodybuilders (many on steroids) can only hope to gain 8-10 pounds of muscle per year.

You can gain more muscle in a year, but not for long.

Make sure that you build quality, lean muscle mass. It'll be easier to "cut up" later if your body is not covered in a layer of fat.

Now you know the truth about building muscle: Stimulation, calorie surplus, and recovery time.

Don't let anyone tell you anything different.

Vayaliparambil Pynadath is an ancient Syriac Christian family name (patronymic) used by the Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Christian members of the family from generation to generation as identity in India. The Judo-Christian family had its origin in Arthat, Kerala in South India, ancient trade centre of Jews and Urhoyan Syrian traders (who were spice merchants). The family worship 'the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Living' and believe in 'the Root and offspring of David( Jesus Christ )' as well as honor the Prince Patriarch of Antioch and All the East in Syria (of Apostolic Petrine Throne) as the Supreme head of their Syriac Orthodox Church in India and Middle East. The family has many professionals settled in India and abroad. The family has good ecumenical relationship with other sister church. The family worships in Syriac liturgy of Holy Throne of Antioch written by St. James, first bishop of Jerusalem and cousin of our Lord Jesus Christ. The family is one of the most educated, forward well known ancient eastern Syriac Orthodox Christian family which originate in the state of Kerala in South India. Though their liturgy is in Syriac, their household language is Malayalam and official language is English. Critics accuse family of being too Orthodox and traditional in general though there had been well educated liberals in the family. The family believes in God more than church standing within holy Apostolic church of Antioch. Once their old members were well known for their leadership, values, loyalty, honesty, charity, vast paddy cultivation and credibility in the state of Kerala in Portuguese/British colonial South India.

The family migrated from Arthat region in 1789 AD at the rule of Dharma Raja of Travancore to Angamaly region during the attack of Tipu Sultan of Mysore on Jacobite church in Arthat. The family's official parish was Morth Mariam Jacobite Syrian Orthodox church at Angamaly, headquarters of Syriac church in India for centuries and residential chapel was famous Mor Sabor and Afroth Jacobite Syrian Orthodox church at Akaparampu. All the Patriarchs of holy Throne of Antioch who visited India had been to their parish church in Angamaly and Akaparampu. The church in Akaparampu had no cemetery and pall bearers of family carried coffin on shoulders to Angamaly for burial ceremony. The family is based in Nedumbassery region of (Kochi)Ernakulam district in the state of Kerala in South India.

The fall of 1994 I did my first porn video in Orlando, Florida called "Dirty Dudes" from a miniscule Florida Production Company, I think, was named Sunshine Productions or Pictures.  My name in the film was Vito Tuscani.  I might of used  the first name Giovanni.  Even a few old  work collieges saw me out in a club that year and, to my amaze, complimented my work.  I haven't seen it, or any other little ones that I have done.  From 1996 to  2001 I was traveling from South to North all throughout the east side of the continent and I happen to just view the cover in a video store by the Gulf Shores/Pensacola, Florida border and another in Atlanta, Georgia. I would of purchased it but it was priced at $70.  I was told 7 years ago by a friend, whom I lost contact with since then, who claimed he owned a copy and was going to send it to me, but never did.  Today, I come across this site, searching for the video.  It's not here either, nor in any bittorrents I've searched in throughout the net.  If by some un-GODLY reason you're a fan, I thank you. Other work can be seen with StreetLife Productions 2005 & Back Door Productions 2006 name Giovanni or the American version Johnny. So, can anyone help me in obtaining "Dirty Dudes"?  I would really appreciate it. Ciao, Johnny

Hello, I am taking the Sigma VI test on the following website: http://www.sigmasociety.com/sigma_teste/sigma_teste_vi_eng.asp . How may I have it graded?  Or do you know how I can get in touch with someone in the Sigma Society that could help me?  Thank you very much, Josh Maddox.

Great idea - I have created a Destroyed Dams type where the date and method of destruction can be noted.  For this I created a further type, Dam Destruction Method.

I hope you can make use of these new types, and add topics to them.  Thanks for joining and contributing to the Dams base.

Done.

Actually, I've just added all the topics currently existing in your type to the destroyed dams type.  Your failed dams type still exists, it is up to you if you wish to delete your type.

Flagging this for delete -- its edition should be an edition of the canonical Blue Train; this is not in itself a distinct album.

Oh wait -- maybe not, it looks like there is no other album from musicbrainz. Marking for merge instead.

I am trying to map the Bibliographic Ontology Specification classes and properties, but I am confused by the existing examples (Province of China a equvalent class?). Let's say I want to map bibo:Journal to a proper FB Journal-class, do I add a Ontology Class-type to the Journal type? Is for an "equivalent attribute" the freebase property specific for the freebase type? Etc...

Hi mhermans,

Thanks for joining the Web Ontologies base. I agree that there should be a help topic of best practices/guidelines for this base but I just haven't had the time to put one together yet. The Province of China example is a bit confusing and could probably be cleared up by adding additional mappings for subclass/superclass relationships.

To map bibo:Journal to a Freebase class you need to use the Journal topic as an intermediary because Freebase doesn't support adding metadata directly to types. Then you add the Type/domain equivalent topic type to that topic and request that the owner of the Journal type adds the link back to the equivalent topic (only they have the permissions to do this).

Now you can add the Ontology Class type to the Journal topic and add as many class mappings as you need. To see an example of what this looks like when its all filled in check out the Person ontology class. So now someone who's looking for instances of the <http://umbel.org/ns/sc/Person> ontology class will be able to resolve that to the /en/Person Freebase topic and follow the Type/domain equivalent topic link to the /people/person Freebase type which links to about 800,000+ instances on Freebase.

This base is still very much in the design phase so if you have any other suggestions or feedback I'd love to hear them.

Thanks for the explanation. I am trying to understand the way FB does datamodeling & what you are trying to achieve in this base by looking at the rdf-output (more familiar/formal to me than the schemas atm), and it is comming together I think. If it is helpfull to someone else, this is what I learned today by annotating the RDF-output (turtle syntax) . Don't know if it is correct ofcourse. I'll start adding relations/data/feedback if I have more time again in a couple of weeks.

ps: I think FB's turtle serialization is missing the "<"/">" in the @prefix-declaration: "@prefix dc: <http://purl...>" instead of "@prefix dc: http://purl..."
